I began painting in 2011 while living in the jungles of Maui with other young artists who were on a quest to find and construct something meaningful in their lives. I knew during my first painting session that I was tapping into my own Soul and in a way, and to that of the collective. What started as decorating vinyl records purchased at the thrift store for a dollar, has grown into a sacred path and spiritual practice.

Using and combining all kinds of materials- acrylic paint, charcoal, pastels, collage and oil- amounts to an alchemical process that takes place through me, that connects me with something larger than myself.

In a world increasingly marked by post-modern nihilism, automation and sequels, I render the spontaneous and often nebulous stirrings of my inner world into something visible and therefore relatable. Consistent themes that emerge in my work speak to the multifaceted nature of the human experience: the search for truth, the relationship between spirit and matter and the inevitable changes that we all face throughout our lives.

Ultimately, I hope to inspire beauty and depth of feeling in those who happen upon my work. May it offer a glimpse into these transpersonal spaces as an homage to the Great Mystery.
